Hello Reader, Have you ever caught yourself doing something differently just to make life with your puppy or dog a little easier? Maybe you avoid a certain route. Maybe you time things so fewer people are around. Maybe you skip something because you just do not feel like dealing with the hassle that day. At first, it can feel like no big deal. But when you start changing more and more of your day around the same thing, that is usually when it is worth taking a closer look. Sometimes a workaround is exactly what you need for the moment. But if you keep doing it because you are not sure what else to do, that can get tiring. And it can slowly make your world with your puppy or dog smaller than you meant for it to be. That is usually when having a clearer plan can help. Not more random tips. Not trying five different things at once. Just knowing what to focus on and what makes sense for your puppy or dog. I have a few resources for people who want help but are not looking for private training right now, and I’ll be sharing more of those with you too. Talk soon, P.S. Sometimes the next step is not a big training commitment. It can be one good resource that helps you stop working around the same thing. Stay connected: |

Maybe there is somewhere you used to take your dog that you have quietly stopped going. None of that means you are doing anything wrong. Sometimes those workarounds are...
Hello Reader, On Wednesday I talked about how easy it is to buy more stuff for your puppy or dog when every store seems to be running a sale. And sometimes the right thing really does help. A better leash. A harness that fits well. A toy your puppy actually likes. Something that makes part of the day a little easier. But there is another side to it. You can buy the right thing and still feel like you are not getting anywhere. The leash is fine, but walks are still frustrating. You have toys...
Hello Reader, I don’t know about you, but it feels like every time I open my email or turn on the TV right now, somebody is trying to sell me something. Amazon Prime Day ends today. Target has deals. Walmart has deals. You name it. And if you have a puppy or dog, it can be really easy to start thinking you need another leash, harness, toy, chew, bed… or whatever else keeps popping up in front of you. Some of those things can be really useful. Some of them? You probably do not need. Before you...
