Hello Reader, On Wednesday I talked about how easy it is to buy more stuff for your puppy or dog when every store seems to be running a sale. And sometimes the right thing really does help. A better leash. A harness that fits well. A toy your puppy actually likes. Something that makes part of the day a little easier. But there is another side to it. You can buy the right thing and still feel like you are not getting anywhere. The leash is fine, but walks are still frustrating. You have toys and chews, but your puppy still has a hard time settling. You have watched videos, saved posts, and tried different ideas, but you are still not sure what applies to your dog. That is usually where more stuff stops being the answer. Sometimes what you need is a better plan for how to use what you already have and what to focus on first. That is the kind of help I want to make easier for you to get. I have resources for people who want to work through things on their own, and I also offer more personalized help when you want someone to look at what is going on with your puppy or dog. If you have been trying things and still feel a little stuck, you can start here: That link takes you to my contact form. You can tell me a little about what has been going on, and if it looks like something I can help with, we can start with a free 15-minute call. Talk soon, P.S. Sometimes you do not need to buy one more thing. You just need to know what to do with the things you already have. Stay connected with me: |

Hello Reader, Have you ever caught yourself doing something differently just to make life with your puppy or dog a little easier? Maybe you avoid a certain route. Maybe you time things so fewer people are around. Maybe you skip something because you just do not feel like dealing with the hassle that day. At first, it can feel like no big deal. But when you start changing more and more of your day around the same thing, that is usually when it is worth taking a closer look. Sometimes a...
Hello Reader, I was thinking about how easy it is to slowly change little things around your puppy or dog without really noticing it. Maybe you start taking a different route on walks. Maybe you wait until fewer people are outside. Maybe you put your puppy behind a gate when someone comes over because it just feels easier. Maybe there is somewhere you used to take your dog that you have quietly stopped going. None of that means you are doing anything wrong. Sometimes those workarounds are...
Hello Reader, I don’t know about you, but it feels like every time I open my email or turn on the TV right now, somebody is trying to sell me something. Amazon Prime Day ends today. Target has deals. Walmart has deals. You name it. And if you have a puppy or dog, it can be really easy to start thinking you need another leash, harness, toy, chew, bed… or whatever else keeps popping up in front of you. Some of those things can be really useful. Some of them? You probably do not need. Before you...
